The Nickelodeon was formed to sing at The Queen Mary in 1988. Founder Jim Raycroft was singing with The Dapper Dans, Disneyland's barbershop quartet, when the Queen Mary's entertainment department called. A roster of 12 singers was established and, since that time, the Nickelodeon has been seen all over California and has helped to open casino hotels in Laughlin, Nevada.
The Nickelodeon is a traditional, stereotypical barbershop quartet that sings the standard songs of the era with a fast-paced, vaudevillian style of humor that can be presented before any audience. They are equally at home on a stage and strolling the scene.
